Palau HIV PREVENTION
Palau’s Youth Partnership Summit
Palau has developed a school health program yearly plan including integration of HIV/AIDs lesson instruction for grade 6th to high school in all public schools. “Reducing the Risk” curriculum is now implemented in high school health classes for 9th grade. Health class for public high school is a one credit course.
Partnership with other agencies and community has been created for the past few years and has been expanded with good collaboration in working with student youths and out of school youths. Student Partnership Conference (SPC) has been going on for the past 15 years and now has expanded into “Youth Partnership Summit” (YPS) and will be implemented or conducted annually. Collaboration and partnership with interagency has made this possible.
