Participant engagement and involvement are critical to the success of every NPD event. NPD events are designed to enrich and enhance ongoing skill development. Participants are asked to fulfill the following expectations to ensure a successful experience:
Full Participation – Team members' ability to participate in the full event is pre-requisite of attendance. All team members agree to arrive on Monday prior to the start of the event and depart from the hotel NO EARLIER than 1 pm on Thursday at the conclusion of the event and participate fully in all sessions.
Team Composition – All team members should be committed to the success of the CDC-funded program's workplan and arrive at the event ready to participate fully in team planning. Please ensure that invited (non-CDC-funded) partners are familiar with your workplan and can serve as a vested partner in your 801 work. Team Lead is asked to convene team members at least once to review workplan priorities, prior to NPD event participation.
Ask Us About Document - Team Lead tp complete and submit an Ask Us About story, prior to the event.
Evaluation – Evaluation is an important part of the professional development process. NPD event participants should expect to participate in a pre-assessment prior to the event, daily evaluations during each event, and a follow-up evaluation (either via phone or email) approximately three-to-six months after the event.
Next Steps – NPD events are designed to enrich and enhance ongoing skill development. On the final day, team members will create an Action Plan. To support team efforts, a copy of the Action Plan will be sent to each team member, and will be shared with CDC project officers. Teams will work together to implement action steps generated during the event.
Reimbursement – Complete reimbursements in a timely fashion. NPD participants should refer to reimbursement package distributed at NPD event(s) for timeline and details.
